Our trip is drawing near, and we are in the last moments of preparation. Today I sent out a broadcast e-mail to our friends notifying them of our intention to maintain this blog during our travels. I hope we have enough Internet access to make it worth while and enough patience.
It’s been challenging packing for this trip. Our travel in Africa will involve several bush plane transfers, those operators have a maximum weight restriction on luggage and we were forced to really consider what we could take. We both will be doing laundry several times along the trip.
Our journey begins Wednesday with our flight from Philadelphia to Atlanta, and then we are direct to Cape Town with only a layover for fuel. Our return trip is direct from Johannesburg to Atlanta, 18 ½ hours. I’ll have plenty of time to adjust and edit photos from the adventure.
Enough said, have to attend to a few last minute details before we depart. Check back in a few days, should have some postings by next weekend.
